Adding Notes to Shifts

Step 1

To begin, access the Heybegin app and navigate to the schedule view. Here, you can choose to add notes to an already existing shift or when creating a new shift.

Step 2

Once you open the shift, scroll down to the notes section. By using the slash sign, various formatting options appear, allowing you to choose between different headings, bullet lists, or to-do lists.

Step 3

After adding the tasks, simply close the shift. Return to the dashboard, perform a quick refresh, and you will see all the tasks integrated within today's shift.

Step 4

By opening the shift again, you have the ability to mark these tasks as done.

Managing Permissions for Notes

Permissions for editing notes can be managed directly in the Permissions section by Managers or Admins.

  • When editing is enabled, team members can update notes to mark tasks as complete or provide updates.

  • When editing is disabled, notes remain visible for reference but cannot be changed.

Why Use Shift Notes?

Notes improve task clarity and team collaboration by:

  • Ensuring key instructions or updates are shared efficiently.

  • Helping team members stay aligned on responsibilities.

  • Reducing the need for follow-up messages or verbal reminders.

This feature simplifies communication, ensuring everyone on the team has what they need to succeed during their shifts.
